Overview

PickMyFlights ("PickMyFlights," "we," "us," or "our") operates pickmyflights.com (the "Site"), a flight information and lead-generation service. We help travelers research popular destinations and featured travel deals, and connect them by phone with a live booking agent to complete an actual flight reservation. PickMyFlights is not an airline and does not sell tickets or process payments through this website. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Site, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

By using the Site or submitting any form on it, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not submit your information to us — you are always welcome to browse the Site or call our toll-free number directly without submitting a web form.

Information We Collect

We collect information in two ways: information you give us directly, and limited technical information collected automatically.

Information you provide directly. When you submit our flight enquiry form, callback request form, or otherwise contact us, we may collect: Name; Phone number; Email address; Travel details you choose to share, such as origin and destination cities, preferred travel dates, and number of passengers; The best time to call you back, if you use the short callback request form; Any additional information you include in free-text fields or in a phone conversation with our agents.

We only collect what we need to respond to your enquiry and help a booking agent call you back about it. We do not ask for payment card information, passport numbers, or other sensitive identifiers through the website, and you should never need to enter that information into any form on this Site.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools automatically log some technical information when you visit, including browser type, device type, pages viewed, referring page, and your IP address at the time of the request.

We do not store your raw IP address. Incoming IP addresses are immediately processed through a one-way salted hash before being written to any log or database we retain. This means we keep a non-reversible fingerprint that lets us detect abuse patterns (for example, a single source submitting an unusual number of forms in a short period) without retaining — or being able to reconstruct — your actual IP address.

Why We Collect This Information

We use the information above only to: Respond to your flight enquiry or callback request by phone, text (SMS), or email; Have a booking agent verify fares, availability, and itinerary details with you and complete a booking if you choose to proceed; Operate, maintain, and secure the Site, including detecting spam, fraud, or abusive form submissions; Understand general Site usage (e.g., which pages or destinations are popular) so we can improve content and performance.

We do not use your information for purposes unrelated to your enquiry, such as building advertising profiles, without separately telling you and getting your consent.

Who We Share Information With

We are a small, independent operator. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We do share limited information with a small number of service providers who help us operate the Site and respond to enquiries, including: Email delivery and notification tools (so enquiry and callback form submissions reach our booking team); Website hosting and infrastructure providers (currently Vercel) and our database provider (currently Supabase), who store form submissions and Site logs on our behalf; Analytics tooling used to understand aggregate Site traffic.

These providers only receive the information necessary to perform their function for us and do not include any third-party airlines, ticketing platforms, or data brokers. If a future version of this service begins sharing information more broadly (for example, with an airline partner to fulfill a booking), we will update this policy before doing so.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or if necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of PickMyFlights, our users, or the public.

Data Retention

We retain flight enquiry and callback request submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request, complete any related booking assistance, and maintain business records. As a general guideline, we retain form submission records for up to 24 months after your last contact with us, after which they are deleted or anonymized, unless we are required to keep them longer for legal, tax, or accounting reasons, or unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

Salted IP hashes used for abuse prevention are retained only as long as needed for that purpose and are periodically purged on a rolling basis.

Your Choices and Rights

You may ask us at any time to: Tell you what personal information we hold about you; Correct inaccurate information; Delete your information, unless we have a legitimate business or legal reason to keep it; Stop contacting you about a prior enquiry.

Notice for California Residents. If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended, including the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, the right to request deletion of that information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. PickMyFlights does not sell or "share" personal information (as those terms are defined under the CCPA) and does not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise any CCPA rights using the same contact methods listed above.

Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate for a small business to protect the information you provide, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls on our database and hosting providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
